Livelihood Restoration & Resettlement Action Planning (RAP)

Livelihood Restoration Planning is a structured approach used to mitigate the adverse impacts of displacement or economic disruption, typically caused by development projects.
A Resettlement Action Plan is a comprehensive document outlining the process and procedures for managing the involuntary displacement of individuals or communities due to development projects.
It ensures that affected people are compensated for their losses, their livelihoods are restored, and their standards of living are improved or at least restored to pre-project levels. The RAP also outlines the legal framework, budget, and implementation schedule for resettlement activities.
In essence, both Livelihood Restoration Planning and Resettlement Action Plans are critical safeguards that ensure development does not come at the expense of people’s wellbeing. When effectively designed and implemented, they transform potential disruption into an opportunity for restoration, resilience, and improved quality of life for affected communities. Our approach ensures compliance, accountability, and a people-centered pathway to sustainable development outcomes.
